DEI & Disability Dialogue

The DEI & Disability Dialogues is an annual advocacy and education initiative designed to spark powerful conversations around Disability, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI). The series brings together stakeholders from across sectors, individuals, corporations, civil society, and government to explore how best to promote the rights of persons with disabilities through policy, practice, and inclusive leadership. At the heart of this series is the belief that inclusion starts with dialogue, and that sustainable change begins when those most affected by exclusion are heard and involved in decision-making at every level.
Why This Matters
Globally, over 1 billion people live with disabilities. Yet, across countries and cultures, they continue to face systemic discrimination, stigma, and exclusion both socially and institutionally. Despite international frameworks like the UN Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities (CRPD), barriers to full participation remain deeply entrenched. Persons with disabilities are still too often treated as second-class citizens, denied opportunities to contribute meaningfully to society or influence policies that affect their lives. Many of these challenges are perpetuated not only by social attitudes, but also by institutional practices, lack of inclusive policies, and exclusion from key decision-making processes especially in governance and corporate environments.
The Inclusion Dialogue Series is delivered through:
Annual Roundtable Discussions: Featuring diverse voices from the disability community, policy experts, corporate leaders, and inclusion advocates.
Workshops for Organizations: Focused on disability-inclusive policies, accessible workplaces, and rights-based approaches to diversity.
Advocacy Forums: Designed to influence national and local policies that promote the rights and full inclusion of persons with disabilities.
Action Reports and Policy Briefs: Generated from each dialogue to guide implementation and drive accountability.
