On This Christmas Table: Nourishing Lives, One Family at a Time

On This Christmas Table is an annual end-of-year inclusion initiative by CODAH that supports persons with disabilities from low-income communities with food, essential household items, and community support during the festive season. Beyond addressing urgent material needs like food insecurity, the initiative serves as a platform to amplify the voices of people with disabilities, promote social inclusion, and create a shared space for connection, celebration, and hope. Since its inception, the program has reached and supported 347 families.
Why This Matters
In many underserved communities, persons with disabilities (PWDs) face layered challenges — from food insecurity and economic hardship to social exclusion and invisibility during moments of celebration like the festive season. While Christmas is a time marked by joy and abundance for many, it can be a season of isolation and unmet needs for families living with disabilities.
“On This Christmas Table” matters because it intentionally restores dignity, visibility, and belonging to PWDs and their families by:
Providing tangible support (food and essentials) to ease economic pressure
Creating inclusive spaces where PWDs are seen, celebrated, and heard
Challenging stigma by promoting awareness and compassion across communities
